The Oak Bluffs Association (OBA) is a voluntary membership group of over 140 businesses and community members established in 1991. We are dedicated to promoting the natural beauty and historical charm of the Oak Bluffs area with the goal of helping the town, its citizens and its businesses thrive.  To join, download the Membership Application in the right-hand column.

Mission
The Mission of the Oak Bluffs Association is to support a harmonious working relationship among members of the business community, civic associations, Town officials and the citizens of Oak Bluffs.  We are committed to promoting the businesses, activities and attractions of Oak Bluffs in order to improve tourism through the pursuit of excellence, and in so doing, improve the quality of life for the community year round.

Goals
1. Develop our Membership.
2. Produce and distribute first-rate brochures and materials each year that will promote our events and members.
3. Find ways to extend the shoulder season business.
4. Work with organizations and Town officials to improve the Town and create a more  productive and harmonious working relationship between all parties.

Membership Benefits
Web Site Listing
The OBA web site is continually updated and improved.  All OBA members receive a listing with their membership, plus, links to your own web site are FREE. Only members may be listed.

The OBA produces and distributes a comprehensive map of the Island, with separate pages for Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and Edgartown.  Our local advertising representative is Kat McCourt and can be contacted at katmccourt@gmail.com.

Distribution of Your Literature at the Information Booth
The Oak Bluffs Association maintains and staffs the Information Booth at Farland Square in OB.  Members are eligible to participate in the booth program for a fee.  Brochures, schedules, events, menus etc are displayed on a first come, first serve basis.  To participate, download the Info Booth application at the top of the page.

Street Banners
The Oak Bluffs Association produces and installs street banners for all OBA sponsored events, town meetings, elections and the Oak Bluffs Road Races.

Major Events
Major events sponsored by the OBA include Harbor Festival, Summer Solstice and Tivoli Day.

Discounted Booth Space at Key Events
Member-vendors receive discounted fees for booth space at both the Harbor Festival in June and Tivoli Day in September.  To participate, download the Harbor Festival and Tivoli Day applications in the left-hand column.

Annual Tree Lighting and Town Christmas Party
On the first Wednesday after Thanksgiving, the Oak Bluffs Association sponsors the annual Tree Lighting and Town Christmas Party, along with the PTO, the Friends of Oak Bluffs and the Town.

Santa Sweepstakes
The Oak Bluffs Association sponsors the holiday promotion “Santa Sweepstakes” to help promote our members who are open through January 1.

Town Government Representation
OBA members are encouraged to attend the bi-weekly Board of Selectmen Meetings in an effort to improve working relations and communications between town officials and the business community and to address issues that may adversely impact the businesses of Oak Bluffs.

Public Relations Initiatives
The Oak Bluffs Association has an extensive public relations program that helps to promote events both on and off island, helping to bring visitors to Oak Bluffs.

Cruise Industry Convention
The OBA, along with representatives of the Town and the Chamber of Commerce, has established a presence at the Cruise Industry convention in Florida in March to promote Oak Bluffs businesses, attractions and events.

Local and Regional Advertising
The Oak Bluffs Association advertises in the local and regional media for all OBA sponsored events. Press releases and calendar listings are included as support for this program.
